What is error correction level?

QR codes can recover from partial damage. Higher error correction means the code can still be scanned even if up to 30% is obscured or damaged — useful for printed materials. Lower correction makes smaller codes that scan faster in ideal conditions.

How much text can a QR code hold?

Up to about 3,000 characters for text, or around 2,900 characters for URLs. Longer content makes the QR code denser and slightly harder to scan.

Can I use the QR code commercially?

Yes. QR codes are an open standard with no licensing restrictions.
