FAQ

What if my anniversary year has no named material?

The tool shows the next named milestone. For example, year 16 has no specific material, so the tool will tell you about your upcoming 20th (China) anniversary.

Where do these materials come from?

They come from traditional British and American anniversary lists that grew from Roman customs (silver for 25, gold for 50) and were expanded by greeting-card companies in the early 20th century.

Is there a 90th anniversary material?

Not yet — the highest officially named anniversary is 80th (Oak). New materials may be added as more couples reach these milestones.

Does it work for civil partnerships too?

Yes. The anniversary materials are about celebrating years together, regardless of how the relationship was formalised.
